Workshops

Get in touch with the natural world & printmaking—join us at Write253 in Tacoma for the Botanical Printmaking Workshop. I’ll guide you through the process of rolling on oil-based ink on the plants with a brayer, and hand printing proofs and two washi (mulberry paper) prints to take home. We can add color with water-based pigments. Be a naturalist & artist with no experience necessary! Registration & more info here.

Linocut Printmaking Workshop at Write253! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning the art of relief printmaking. I’ll guide you through the process of carving your design into 4″x6″ linoleum blocks. We will transfer the one-color image on the block, carve, and handprint proofs and two washi  (mulberry paper) prints with oil-based ink. We can add color with water-based pigments. This is a technique you can do at home once you have the materials and even print on textiles and fabric. Registration & more info here.
