Linocut Printmaking Workshop at Write253! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning the art of relief printmaking. I’ll guide you through the process of carving your design into 4″x6″ linoleum blocks. We will transfer the one-color image on the block, carve, and handprint proofs and two washi (mulberry paper) prints with oil-based ink. We can add color with water-based pigments. Join us for the Two-Color Woodcut Workshop at Write253! I will guide you through the process of carving your design into two 4″x6″ woodblocks and creating unique, two-color prints. Explore different transfer and registration techniques, carving methods, mixing color with oil-based ink, and hand printing proofs and two washi (mulberry paper) prints. If you have time to prepare before the workshop, please bring a two-color 4”x 6” image you’d like to work with. Take these skills with you to make prints at home once you have the materials!
